Floor & support
Event flooring & floor hire
Cassette flooring, levelled flooring, covered walkways, solid wood floors, finishing carpet, dance floors: we lay the floor that makes your event reliable — slope correction, wet grass, slab or car park — and coordinate it with your tent in a single quote.
Our floors
The right floor for your ground.
Every site dictates its own support: we size the floor to the slope, bearing capacity and use — seated dinner, standing cocktail, outdoor circulation or dance party.

Practical guide
When flooring becomes essential.
On flat, dry lawn in midsummer, carpet is often enough. Flooring becomes necessary as soon as the ground works against you: a slope above 2 %, a meadow saturated after three days of rain, stony soil or an uneven paved courtyard. It is non-negotiable for a seated dinner — a wobbly table shows all evening — and for wheelchair access, which grass and gravel make difficult.
Two techniques answer two different problems. Cassette flooring on adjustable jacks corrects up to around fifty centimetres of level difference: that is the usual answer to gently sloping ground. Beyond that, or to bridge an obstacle — covering a swimming pool for the reception, spanning a flower bed, a set of steps or a pond — you move to levelled flooring carried by a frame, which can rise to around one metre above natural ground level. This configuration always requires an on-site survey before sign-off.
The third use happens outside the tent. Between the car park and the entrance, the house and the marquee, the marquee and the toilet units, it is the untreated metres that spoil an evening: heels in wet grass, dresses ruined, trips avoided. One-metre-wide wooden walkways, covered when the forecast is uncertain, link those spaces and turn several separate zones into one usable venue — often the best effect-for-money line in the whole quote.
Formats & modules
The dimensions of our flooring.
Event flooring is modular: the surface is built up from standard segments, which lets it match the exact footprint of your tent and your circulation routes.
| Element | Standard format | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Flooring module | 1 × 2.5 m | Tent floor, assembled freely to suit the surface |
| Stage module | 1 × 2 m | Stage, podium, sound and lighting control |
| Walkway / junction | 1 m wide, 2.5 m segments | House ↔ tent ↔ car park ↔ toilets, covering available |
| Correction on jacks | Up to ~50 cm of level difference | Gently sloping ground, uneven grass, gravel |
| Levelled flooring on a frame | Up to ~1 m of elevation | Badly uneven ground, pool or pond to cover |
Dimensions of the modules most commonly used on our events; other formats exist depending on the supplier selected and the surface to cover. Beyond 50 cm of correction, the configuration always goes through an on-site technical survey before the quote is confirmed.
All in the same quote
A floor designed with your structure, not after it.
The floor is decided at the same time as the tent: it determines anchoring, the build schedule and the final look. Because we operate both, your floor is sized with the structure, laid the day before by the same team, and billed in the same quote — with no coordination surcharge.
- Technical site survey before sign-off
- Laying integrated into the tent build schedule
- Guaranteed structure / floor / furniture compatibility
- No coordination surcharge between trades

Guide ranges observed on our events, adjusted for surface, ground and region. Levelled flooring on a load-bearing frame and covered walkways are quoted after a site survey, as their price depends on the drop to bridge and the length to cover. The detailed response is free and sent within 24 h.
Frequently asked questions about flooring hire
Not always: on flat, dry lawn in summer, carpet can be enough. A floor becomes essential as soon as the ground slopes, is wet or uneven, for a seated dinner, or when the weather is uncertain. During the technical survey we decide with you based on the actual ground.
Yes — that is the main use of cassette flooring: laid on adjustable jacks, it corrects up to around 50 cm of slope and provides a perfectly flat surface, including on grass, gravel or slab. Beyond that, we move to levelled flooring carried by a frame, which can rise to around one metre above natural ground level.
Yes. Levelled flooring carried by a frame can cover a swimming pool, a pond or a flower bed for the duration of the event, recovering several dozen square metres at the heart of the property. The configuration is confirmed during the site survey: bearing capacity, support points, guardrails and access ramps are sized case by case, and the pool is protected throughout the installation.
Yes, and it is one of the most useful items when the forecast is uncertain. We lay one-metre-wide wooden walkways, at ground level or levelled, between the house, the tent, the car park and the toilet units. They can be covered so your guests stay dry moving between spaces, without crossing wet grass.
Yes. Floor and structure share the same schedule: the floor is laid the day before, before or with the tent depending on the configuration, by our teams. It is also maintained during the event if needed. You have no trades to synchronise.
Ideally at the same time as the structure, 2 to 6 months before the event for high-season dates (May to September). Outside that, a few weeks are usually enough. The response is sent within 24 h.
