Formal ceremony
Typical use cases
A ceremony under canvas — secular, christening, memorial, engagement, civil partnership — calls for a discreet, refined and acoustically sound cover. No showy structure: the aim is to create a contemplative space, sheltered from the sun or rain, with good visual and sound clarity.
Our recommendation
For a ceremony alone (30 minutes to 1h30), a canopy or a stretch tent is often enough. When the ceremony is followed by a cocktail or dinner, it is better to plan a wider main structure (marquee or orangery) that can be reset quickly.
Worth keeping in mind
A ceremony needs clean sound: avoid very open structures in case of wind or strong ambient noise. Also plan a precise weather plan B — a ceremony cannot be rescheduled like a cocktail.

Capacity
The right setup depends first on the number of guests expected. Here are our recommendations by headcount band for a cérémonie.
40 – 100 guests
Intimate ceremony
Stretch tent ~75-130 m² or a canopy against a building — discreet installation.
100 – 200 guests
Ceremony + reception to follow
10×18m marquee or orangery — the structure hosts the ceremony then the cocktail.
200 + guests
Large formal ceremony
10×30m marquee — chapel-style layout, central aisle, officiant area.
Indicative budget
These ballpark figures include the structure, the setup and the takedown. The final quote depends on the venue, the options and the season — a tailored reply within 24 h.
Ceremony for 80 guests — stretch tent
Ceremony + cocktail for 150 guests — marquee
These ranges are indicative. Transport costs are added according to distance. The detailed response is free, with no obligation, provided within 24 h.

Client case
140 guests, ceremony beside a lake then dinner under the same orangery.
Setup
Orangery 10×20m, chapel layout then round tables, full flooring, sound system.
Preparation
The points to settle ahead of a cérémonie so it goes off without a hitch.
Central aisle, rows of chairs, officiant position and speech area.
Discreet sound system, microphone for the officiant and for readings.
A ceremony cannot be postponed — the structure is both plan A and plan B.
If a cocktail/dinner follows, plan the transition (same tent or a nearby one).
Even flooring, no thresholds, sufficient circulation space.
Fabric lining, flowers, an understated look — the structure should fade away.

Our team supports event organisers across France with a complete tent hire offer cérémonie. A secular ceremony, a civil naming or a tribute ceremony calls for a formal cover that protects guests without dominating the space. The velum tent, the canopy, the stretch tent and the light marquee are the most suitable structures to frame the speeches and the ritual without weighing down the scenography. We operate across the whole country, with teams that can be mobilised quickly to coordinate the setup, the access and the technical equipment. For an outdoor wedding, a corporate cocktail reception or a private reception, we size the structure, the guest flow and the technical options (flooring, lighting, heating, lining) to deliver a result that is durable, clear and consistent with your budget.
Hiring a tent for a ceremony lets you protect the speeches against intense sun or an unexpected shower, without imposing a massive structure that would draw attention away from the moment being celebrated.
The ceremony format is often a prelude to a longer reception. The structure must be quick to install and then remove, or fit into a wider event setup (wedding, institutional event).
For a ceremony, we offer the velum tent (aerial cover, ideal in a sunny garden), the canopy (targeted protection of a stage or an altar), the stretch tent (open volume with a premium look) or the pagoda tent for very intimate ceremonies.
Additional equipment covers a stage or light podium, discreet lighting, sound system, central aisle and welcome area. We coordinate the whole with the officiant and the decorator.
For ceremonies followed by a cocktail hour, we often install the ceremonial cover in addition to the main reception tent.
The price of a ceremonial cover is generally modest compared with the rest of the event: velum tent and canopy remain very affordable, while a marquee or pagoda tent dedicated to the ceremony is priced at the standard rate.
For projects combining ceremony and reception, we offer an overall package that optimises transport and setup logistics.
For a tent hire service cérémonie in France, you receive a full estimate within 24 h including delivery, setup, takedown and logistics coordination.
Our teams handle the installation and delivery across the whole country, with a precise schedule agreed in advance with your reception venue.
Setting up a ceremonial cover is quick: 1 to 3 hours depending on the format. Anchoring is minimal and post-ceremony takedown can be carried out in parallel with the following event.
We position the structure in keeping with the sun's orientation, the prevailing wind direction and the flow of guests to optimise comfort and the visibility of the moment.

8 targeted answers to prepare your ceremony project: capacities, prices, regulations, logistics.
For 100 people seated in a chapel layout (rows + central aisle), allow 80 to 100 m² — an 10×10m marquee or a stretch tent ~100 m². If the ceremony is followed by a cocktail, plan for 30 to 50 m² extra or use a larger structure that can be reset.
Yes, it is actually the simplest solution: we set up chapel-style for the ceremony, then reset to round tables for the dinner during the cocktail. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for the reset with our team or yours.
In peak season (May to September, especially for weddings), we recommend booking 4 to 6 months ahead to have the full choice of the catalogue. In low season or for corporate events, 4 to 8 weeks is generally enough. For urgent projects, we assess availability case by case and send a detailed response within 24 h with a realistic execution plan.
Our catalogue covers every format: glass marquee and cathedral glass marquee (signature prestige), orangery (grand-style prestige), marquee from 5 to 20 m wide, nomadic stretch tent (Berber tent) from 50 to over 500 m², transparent crystal tent, silhouette tent (sailcloth), bamboo marquee, reception tipi, velum tent, arched tent, modular pagoda tents (3×3 m to 6×12 m), pop-up gazebos, folding tents, rooftop tents, decked-platform structures, canopies, as well as demountable halls, storage tents and large-span structures for B2B uses. Capacity from 20 to over 2,000 people.
We operate across the whole of France, with priority coverage of the major conurbations (Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Lille, Nice…) and their outskirts within a 50 km radius. Transport and logistics coordination are included in every quote, with no hidden costs.
Yes. Our services systematically include delivery, secure setup by a team of professional technicians, and takedown at the end of the event. The quote breaks down the three items separately for a clear reading. Each step is planned in advance with your venue and your providers (caterer, decorator, DJ).
As a rough guide, expect between 15 and 40 € excl. VAT per m² for the installed structure depending on the range. A private event of 80 to 120 people usually sits between 2,000 and 5,500 €, a corporate project of 150 to 250 people between 4,500 and 12,000 €, and a large festival-type event above 12,000 €. The final price depends on the type of structure, the duration, the options (flooring, lighting, heating) and the season.
For an event of 100 guests, the usual ranges are: 1,800 to 3,800 € for a standing cocktail reception (80-110 m²), 2,500 to 6,000 € for a seated meal under a marquee (120-150 m²), 3,500 to 8,000 € with a dance floor and bar (150-180 m²), and 4,000 to 10,000 € for a premium transparent tent. The price includes structure, transport, setup and takedown. The options (wooden flooring, lighting, heating, fabric lining) are quoted separately.
