The classic marquee has one or more central poles that limit the interior layout but allow high ridge heights. The arched tent has an arched roof with no internal pole, which fully frees up circulation and makes it easy to lay out stands or seated plenaries. On the other hand, its silhouette is more utilitarian and less "reception".
Sizes run from 8 × 12 m (80 guests) to 30 × 50 m (1,500 guests). At a standing cocktail, count 1.2 m² per person; for a seated meal with a stage, 2 m² per person; for a theatre-style plenary, 1 m² per person. Beyond 1,500 people, you move to a large-span structure.
Possible but not ideal — the silhouette is more utilitarian than that of a marquee, an orangery or a glass marquee. For a wedding that wants a prestige result, we steer instead towards the marquee (similar volume, more elegant silhouette), the orangery or the glass marquee.
