Demountable Warehouse
The demountable hangar is a semi-rigid or rigid structure for industrial and logistics needs requiring greater headroom (6 to 8m), cladding walls, a sectional door and forklift compatibility. It differs from the storage tent by the nature of its walls and its ability to become near-permanent (5 to 15 years of use).

When to choose it
Optimal for demanding activities: production workshops, HGV garage, materials depot, temporary production hall, logistics sorting area. The structure is designed for 5 to 15 years of service with standard maintenance.
Worth keeping in mind
Planning permission not systematic if the duration is under 18 months (a prior declaration is enough), beyond that a permit is mandatory. A concrete floor is strongly recommended for forklift traffic — otherwise a concrete slab poured beforehand.

Structure & materials
What you need to know about your hangar démontable
The demountable hangar is a modular industrial structure with a reinforced steel frame and rigid walls (insulated sandwich panels), designed for long-term storage needs, a temporary production workshop, a logistics warehouse or a replacement industrial site. Its large clear span (up to 40 m with no central pole) and its level of thermal insulation make it a credible alternative to traditional construction for use of 1 to 20 years. Unlike the storage tent, the demountable hangar offers a level of finish and durability comparable to that of a permanent industrial building. The cost of hiring a demountable hangar depends on the size, the level of insulation, the length of use and the technical equipment (sectional doors, loading docks, three-phase power). As a guide, the ranges seen in 2026 run from €50 to €150 excl. VAT per m² per month depending on the level of finish and the length of use.
Materials & construction
- Reinforced galvanised steel frame — clear span up to 40 m with no central pole
- Rigid walls: insulated sandwich panels (polyurethane foam or rock wool) — thickness 40 to 100 mm
- Roof: double-skin steel decking or reinforced PVC depending on the configuration
- Floor: existing concrete slab or reinforced industrial flooring
- Clear height under the frame: 4 to 8 m depending on size
- Options: sectional doors, loading docks, three-phase power, industrial heating, air conditioning, smoke extraction, high-bay LED lighting
For which event?
Long-term logistics warehouse
For long-term storage needs (6 months to 10 years), the demountable hangar offers a level of finish and durability comparable to a permanent industrial building, with no heavy planning constraints and the flexibility to relocate.
Temporary production workshop
For a temporary production line (industrial launch, seasonal extension, replacement workshop during works), the demountable hangar offers a working environment to industrial standards with three-phase power, high-bay lighting and enough clear height for handling machinery.
Replacement industrial site
In the event of damage (fire, flood) or the renovation of an industrial building, the demountable hangar lets you carry on activity without interruption. Time to commissioning: 2 to 6 weeks depending on size.
Seasonal activity extension
For activities with strong seasonal swings (food processing, e-commerce, construction), the demountable hangar lets you absorb peaks in activity without over-investing in permanent buildings.
What to plan for
- Ground: existing concrete slab or reinforced industrial flooring. Load-bearing study always carried out for heavy loads.
- Access: 4 m minimum HGV lane, manoeuvring area for a crane and articulated lorries. Loading docks can be integrated.
- Setup time: 2 to 6 weeks depending on size. Technical study and planning file to be anticipated.
- Regulations: planning permission required beyond 200 m² or 18 months. Our team supports the procedures.
- Lifespan: 10 to 20 years depending on upkeep and operating conditions. Compatible with ISO 9001 and HACCP certifications depending on use.

Everything to know before hiring your demountable warehouse
8 practical answers to prepare your demountable warehouse hire: capacities, prices, materials, logistics.
The rate depends on the size, the level of insulation (40 mm, 60 mm or 100 mm sandwich walls), the length of use, the technical equipment (doors, docks, electricity, heating) and the service area. As a guide, the ranges seen in 2026 run from €50 to €150 excl. VAT per m² per month depending on the level of finish. For multi-year use (> 3 years) or large areas (> 1,000 m²), rates are negotiated on quotation. Transport, setup and foundations on top depending on the configuration.
The demountable hangar offers 80 to 90% of the functionality of a permanent industrial building for 30 to 50% of the cost and with a time to commissioning divided by 5 to 10. It is demountable and relocatable, which makes it an investment that pays off even over medium operating periods (3 to 5 years). Its lifespan is 10 to 20 years against 30 to 50 years for a permanent building.
Yes, with sandwich walls 40 to 100 mm thick depending on the level of insulation you are after. Paired with industrial heating (gas air heater or heat pump), a well-insulated hangar maintains 15 to 20 °C in winter with energy use comparable to a recent permanent building.
Booking lead time: 4 to 12 weeks depending on fleet availability and urgency. On-site setup time: 2 to 6 weeks depending on size and level of finish. For emergencies (damage, replacement), we handle requests in 3 to 5 weeks in total depending on availability.
Ideally, allow 3 to 6 weeks to prepare your event with peace of mind and keep your choice of options and equipment. In high season (May to September) or for a wedding, book 6 to 12 months ahead. For urgent requests, our teams can step in within 48 to 72 h depending on availability and the complexity of the project.
Our catalogue covers every format: glass marquee and cathedral glass marquee (signature prestige), orangery (grand-style prestige), marquee from 5 to 20 m wide, nomadic stretch tent (Berber tent) from 50 to over 500 m², transparent crystal tent, silhouette tent (sailcloth), bamboo marquee, reception tipi, velum tent, arched tent, modular pagoda tents (3×3 m to 6×12 m), pop-up gazebos, folding tents, rooftop tents, decked-platform structures, canopies, as well as demountable halls, storage tents and large-span structures for B2B uses.
