Storage Tent
The storage tent is a modular covered structure designed for industrial, logistics and agricultural needs: seasonal overflow stock, building transition, insurance claim, archives, construction equipment, harvests. It differs from a reception tent by its robustness (wind, snow), its modularity in 5m bays and its ability to stay erected for several months or years.

When to choose it
Ideal for B2B needs where the cover matters more than the finish: temporary warehouse, workshop, depot, transition space. A concrete floor is not required (suitable ballast). Heating and industrial lighting are optional.
Worth keeping in mind
Difference from a demountable hangar: the storage tent has a flexible PVC cover, the hangar has rigid or semi-rigid walls and greater headroom. For a permanent workshop or an HGV depot, look instead at the demountable hangar.

Structure & materials
What you need to know about your tente de stockage
The storage tent is a modular structure in reinforced PVC on a galvanised steel frame, designed for temporary or long-term storage needs: seasonal equipment, goods, industrial equipment, winter storage of farm machinery, logistics overstock. Available in sizes from 5 × 10 m to 50 × 50 m with a clear span of up to 25 m with no central pole, it takes forklifts and goes up on stabilised ground, gravel or a concrete slab within a few days. It is the most economical solution on the market for covering a large storage area with no property investment. The cost of hiring a storage tent depends on the size, the length of use (short vs long-term hire), the level of finish (insulated walls, waterproof floor), the lighting and the electrical supply. As a guide, the ranges seen in 2026 run from €30 to €80 excl. VAT per m² per month for a medium-term hire (3 to 12 months), down to much lower negotiated rates for multi-year use.
Materials & construction
- Reinforced galvanised steel frame — clear span 8 to 25 m with no central pole
- Reinforced PVC canvas 900 to 1,100 g/m², M2 fire-rated, UV and chemical resistance
- Native ground, gravel, concrete slab or reinforced flooring depending on use
- Options: insulated polycarbonate walls, sectional doors, LED lighting, three-phase power, industrial heating, smoke extraction
- Anchoring: concrete base plates or deep anchors depending on the ground type
For which event?
Seasonal equipment storage
For temporary storage needs (summer furniture, beach equipment, off-season site equipment, e-commerce overstock before the peaks), the storage tent offers a turnkey solution in 2 to 5 days, with forklift access and suitable lighting.
Winter storage of farm & boating equipment
For the winter storage of farm equipment, boats or leisure vehicles, the storage tent protects against the weather with a clear span suited to bulky machinery and a stabilised ground compatible with heavy loads.
Temporary logistics extension
For businesses facing a spike in activity (e-commerce, distribution, construction), the storage tent lets you double or triple storage capacity over 3 to 18 months with no building investment or heavy planning procedures.
Site storage & construction equipment
On a large construction site, the storage tent covers sensitive equipment, scaffolding, PPE, supplies and tools. The quick setup and the takedown at the end of the works make it a flexible and economical solution.
What to plan for
- Ground: stabilised, compacted gravel or concrete slab depending on use. Load-bearing study for heavy loads (> 500 kg/m²).
- Access: 3.5 m minimum HGV lane, manoeuvring area for deliveries. Sectional doors sized for forklifts.
- Setup time: 2 to 5 days depending on size. Takedown at the end of the hire, ground returned to its original state.
- Regulations: prior declaration at the town hall beyond 120 m² or 3 months; planning permission beyond 200 m² or 18 months depending on the zone.
- Safety: BVCTS register, ERP file if open to the public, smoke extraction and emergency exits depending on use.

Everything to know before hiring your storage tent
8 practical answers to prepare your storage tent hire: capacities, prices, materials, logistics.
The rate depends on the size, the length of use, the level of insulation and the technical options (lighting, electricity, heating). As a guide, the ranges seen in 2026 run from €30 to €80 excl. VAT per m² per month for a medium-term hire (3 to 12 months). For multi-year use or large areas (> 500 m²), rates are negotiated on quotation. Add on top the transport, setup and takedown, which can account for 10 to 25% of the overall budget.
Technically, storage tents are designed for use of 1 to 10 years depending on the model and the upkeep. On the administrative side, beyond 3 months a prior declaration is required, and beyond 18 months planning permission is required in most zones. Our team supports the planning procedures.
The storage tent uses a light galvanised steel frame covered with reinforced PVC canvas: economical, quick to set up, with an operating life of up to 5-7 years. The demountable hangar uses a heavier frame (reinforced steel, sometimes glued-laminated timber) with rigid walls: more durable (10-20 years), better insulated, but 2 to 3 times more expensive per m². The choice comes down to the expected length of use and the level of finish you are after.
Yes, with insulated polycarbonate or sandwich walls, industrial heating and, where needed, air conditioning. For temperature-controlled goods (food, pharmaceutical), a rigid demountable hangar is generally more suitable than the standard storage tent.
Ideally, allow 3 to 6 weeks to prepare your event with peace of mind and keep your choice of options and equipment. In high season (May to September) or for a wedding, book 6 to 12 months ahead. For urgent requests, our teams can step in within 48 to 72 h depending on availability and the complexity of the project.
Our catalogue covers every format: glass marquee and cathedral glass marquee (signature prestige), orangery (grand-style prestige), marquee from 5 to 20 m wide, nomadic stretch tent (Berber tent) from 50 to over 500 m², transparent crystal tent, silhouette tent (sailcloth), bamboo marquee, reception tipi, velum tent, arched tent, modular pagoda tents (3×3 m to 6×12 m), pop-up gazebos, folding tents, rooftop tents, decked-platform structures, canopies, as well as demountable halls, storage tents and large-span structures for B2B uses. Capacity from 20 to over 2,000 people.
We operate across the whole of France, with priority coverage of the major conurbations (Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Lille, Nice…) and their outskirts within a 50 km radius. Transport and logistics coordination are included in every quote, with no hidden costs.
Yes, setup and takedown are always handled by our professional teams and included in the service: you don't have to provide labour or coordinate hauliers. Only transport charges apply, depending on the distance and the volume of equipment, and they are stated clearly in your quote, with no surprises.
